All Mt Fuji trails in summer will be closed Coronavirus impact

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, in Shizuoka Prefecture established on Monday the 18th, the closing of the three trails of the MOUNT FUJI (2020), from the 5th season.

The mountain trails on the Yamanashi side have already been closed, so it is expected that all trails leading to the summit of the Mount Fuji closed during the summer of 2020.


In order to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections, Shizuoka Prefecture decided to close the Gotemba, Subashiri and Fujinomiya routes for two months, from July 10 to September 10.

Mountain huts on the Fujinomiyaguchi trail have already been closed, but other mountain huts on the Shizuoka side will also be closed.

This summer of 2020, all trails leading to Mount Fuji have been closed.
