O Chiryu Matsuri is a festival with an old origin with more 260 years of tradition, held in the city ​​of Chiryu, on 2 and 3 days of May. The floats weigh up to 5 tons, reaching 7 meters high and feature traditional folkloric performances with puppets and puppets.

No Chiryu Shrine, the pieces with dolls are placed for the viewers.

There are two types of theater, puppets and puppets. One, known as Dashibunraku (float puppet show) and Karakuri (puppet show, also float). It is an old folk tradition and it takes three people to maneuver a doll. Thanks to this role division, dolls can come to life and move in a detailed and realistic way.

Puppet theater and puppets are held at various locations throughout Japan, but held aboard a float (float car) during a festival is only done in Chiryu. That's why the Chiryu Festival is very famous.

Chiryu Matsuri (festival) is held every year in May on 2 9 Pre-Festival: 30 by night and on 3 Day Main Festival of 8: 50 by night.
