Toyokawa-shi Toyokawa
Toyokawa (豊 川 市) is a city located in the southeastern part of the province of Aichi. It has a short coastline with Mikawa Bay. The Toyokawa area is 161.14 square kilometers. With a population of 184.036 inhabitants, including about 5.162 foreign citizens, of which approximately 2.220 are Brazilians.
Toyokawa City was founded on 1 June 1943 by the merger of Toyokawa with the neighboring city of Ushikubo and the village of Yawata, all in the district of Hoi An.
